Art-Based Therapy

Creative expression through drawing, painting, movement, and more to help children explore feelings. Services delivered by Registered Social Workers, Psychotherapists, and Behavioural Therapists.

How it works

Help children explore their thoughts and feelings

Art-based therapy uses creative expression like drawing, painting, collage, or even movement, dance, theatre, music, and writing, as a way for children to explore their thoughts and feelings, even when they don’t have the words to explain them.

It’s about the process.

The focus isn’t on making “good” art - through creating, children can:

Safely express difficult emotions

Make sense of their experiences

Reduce anxiety and build coping skills

Boost self-esteem and confidence

No art skills needed, just an open mind and a willingness to create!

Creating art can feel playful and calming, making it especially effective for children who might feel nervous about traditional talk therapy. Every session is guided by a Registered Social Worker or Psychotherapist who helps children explore their creativity gently and with curiosity, never with pressure or judgment.
